Welcome to ROSE

The Realistic Opportunities for Supported Employment (ROSE) programme has been based at Havering College’s Quarles Campus since its launch in April 2006.

For most people with learning difficulties, paid employment is one of the main goals in adult life. Employment is a vital part of promoting social inclusion and the benefits are much more than just financial. Being in employment helps to build self-esteem, confidence and independence.

Our aim is, with the support of parents/guardians and staff, to secure paid work placements for clients with learning disabilities. The support of a Job Coach, will be available to support clients for as long as necessary to become an independent employee.

We pride ourselves on ensuring this is an individual service, giving a one to one tailor made support plan to ensure the client has access and choice of paid employment. We also offer support to the employer, so that the working relationship is a fruitful one for all concerned.
